Referees - Become a Referee

Becoming a referee offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the rugby community in Quebec. In rugby, referees play a crucial role for the progress of games and for the safety of the athletes. Referees actively participate in the enhancement of the level of play given their constant involvement in the play and the number of important decisions they make in a game.

Whether you are an active player looking to extend your involvement in rugby or you are a former player looking to remain involved in the rugby community, refereeing offers interesting opportunities.

The first step to become a referee is to complete three World Rugby certificates (Rugby Ready, Laws of the Game, Concussion management) and then follow the Level 1 training course.

Once complete and before your training, save your certificates and send them to services@rugbyquebec.com.

Once certified, you can register to Rugby Quebec and Rugby Canada, and seek your first assignment!
